Today, as I was gathering my things to leave work, a co-worker jokingly said, "You wouldn't want to take my hours tomorrow, would you, Hilma?"
(Why do people ask in the negative? Don't they know that makes you want to say no?)
I told her I'd check when I got home and call her later this evening.
Well, I thought about it, called Dan to consult, looked over the calendar and decided to take the extra hours. So much for getting more done around here, huh?!
I'll be thankful when I get that check though.
Another woman at work has a note up asking if anyone wants to take her Saturday hours. I think I'll volunteer to do those also.
I asked for next Monday and Tuesday off. Jazmyn is scheduled to have her tonsils taken out Monday. Mindi is calling tomorrow to try to reschedule it. She is thinking it will be too much to move, change schools and at the same time have surgery. I think she's right. Give the kid a chance to get used to a new house, a new school and then have surgery.
So, not much got done here today.
Dan went into town first thing to pick up the stove. Then he stopped at several places, some of which were Home Depot and Sullivan's Carpet then Jo-Ann's. He had a carpet sample he wanted me to see. He had found a good price on carpet at Home Depot. He wasn't too impressed with Sullivan's. (By the way, did you know I used to sculpt carpet? I did one for Sullivan's and they still have it on display right up by the front door.)
When he got home, he did something...not sure what. He wasn't home when I got home. Guess where he was? You don't need to guess. You KNOW where he was - Menard's!
Poor man is hooked/addicted! LOL
After dinner...he did bring home dinner....good man! He hooked up more lights under the upper cabinets, ran the water line for the refrigerator....he's going up and down stairs right now. Not sure, but I think he's doing his exercises! LOL
He just informed me that the water works in the refrigerator. YEAH! Don't have to keep getting bottled water.
I did go to Kayla's game after work. They had already started by the time I got there.
Kayla's number is 56....

Here she is serving

She is a good player for just starting! She got the ball to the opponents just about every serve (we can't say that for very many of the players!) Volleying the ball...she did very well! We were quite proud of her.
Levi kept wanting the game to be over so Kayla could join us. He kept calling her name....she never heard of course, it was loud in there. There were a couple games going at the same time.
Well, I'm tired tonight. I'm going to bed early.
Dan gets up early on Tuesday mornings, 5:00 to be exact.
So, have a great night. Talk to you tomorrow.
