Hank, Dave (our son in law), Daniel (our son) and Dan's dad all went. Then afterwards, they all came over, plus another guy from church, and helped move the large piece of furniture that had been sitting in our kitchen to a special place upstairs.
After moving the dresser, they stood around and chatted for awhile, then all exited about the same time. As soon as they left, we mixed up grout.
Isn't it pretty?
Made me think of a brownie mix - sorta!
It took us about 2-3 hours to grout and wash off the shower walls, floor and bathroom floor.
Taped and ready to go
Shower walls
Then the shower floor
Then we did the bathroom floor. I left the camera in the window, and once we passed that point, I wasn't able to take pictures....but here it is finished.
Then while that was drying, we put up a couple cupboards and put doors on all the upper cabinets.
By the time we got them done, it was time to clean up and go have some fun.
We had planned to meet everyone at Mindi and Seth's to celebrate Gina's birthday. However, they called this morning saying they had all gotten up sick this morning. So, instead, we went over to Gina and Dave's to celebrate. Daniel and Laina joined us.
Here's what was going on when we arrived.
Kayla was folding a basket of clean clothes.
Really "getting into" it.
Gina and Gideon - He went to bed shortly after we got there.
Levi modeled his new boots for us.
Was his normal, fun self!
He had just put on a pair of socks, that had no "grippies" on the bottom. He was walking around slipping as he turned. When he fell the first time he looked up surprised, but he then realized he could make himself slip and fall. So of course he kept doing it!
We then played Scrabble and a new game that I forget the name of!
After we left their house, we ran over to Home Depot and purchased a toilet for the master bathroom. We also got the sealer for the grout. Guess what room will soon be up and functional?!
It's getting late. Gotta get up for church in the morning.
Have a great Sabbath!
