Well, evening is pretty much GONE and it is now night. I'm not ready to say "Good night" yet though.
Have to fill you in on the days events.
Kayla and I got up and got ready to go to Jazmyn's soccer game. As we were getting ready, we heard rain and thunder. Then 1/2 an hour before we left we saw some lightning. I knew that wasn't a good sign. Games are cancelled if there is lightning. Sure enough, as we were getting our stuff together and getting ready to go out the door, the phone rang. Mindi was calling to tell us the game had been cancelled. She asked if we'd like to go see their new house anyway. Of course we did. We drove over and met Mindi, Jazmyn, Nate and Rayna at their new place in Woodland. (Seth had class til noon - after that he has no class at all.)
Sorry, couldn't resist. No offense, Seth!
We spent about 2 hours there checking things out, letting the kids play, and pulling wallpaper off the walls in Jazmyn's new room.
I left the camera at home, and regretted it while we were there. I could have shown you their house and gotten some funny pics of the kids.
I then drove Kayla home, got a few things from Gina and Dave's basement we had stored there, then went to Olive Garden to meet Marie for lunch.
Had a nice lunch with her. We sat and talked for a couple hours, and while there, Dan texted that he was on his way home.
After getting home, we decided to grout the countertop tiles. That took us about 2 hours. Cleaning them up was the most time consuming part. We used black grout....delightful to wash off. You have to change the water repeatedly.
Isn't that pretty?
After we washed it over and over and over, we got dry cloths and "buffed" the rest off. It now looks shiny and clean. (perhaps I should have gotten the power washer out!?)
Then we had dinner.....put up a few lights under the counter....
.............realized how late it had gotten and came upstairs to post on the blog.
That does it for today's events.
Will have more tomorrow. Several things planned, but will fill you in on those tomorrow. I'm turning in so I can get up in time for church.
