Seeing these rooms take shape is so cool. The process getting there - well, that's another story.
Before we got very far this morning - I had started putting the final coat of paint on the wainscoting
and Dan was organizing himself to put the studs up in the family room
- we had some cute little visitors.
Mindi and the two little ones stopped over to borrow a drill. She is putting up closet organizers and needed some more tools.
We had to keep close tabs on them so they didn't get into the paint!
It wasn't long after they left that Hank came over. By this time, Dan was full swing into the family room ceiling.
I got dizzy after awhile - how 'bout you?
I'm messing with you....I was just having fun taking pictures at different angles.

That's a break in the day ;-)
Mid-afternoon, we changed gears and started cutting and sanding trim.
Then after dinner - Hank stayed tonight and had pizza with us - we set it up in the dining room to lay out all the trim so I could prime and paint it.
Dan started putting up the shelf in the corner of the kitchen - but had to stop. I had not painted it completely!
It has the paint on it now though! All ready to install!
Friday morning we meet Mindi and Seth early to help finish their move. They still have a couple big items at the old house and they have to have everything out this weekend.
I think I'm staying with the little ones while they go move stuff. Then, we may go into Grand Rapids in the afternoon.
Tonight we talked to a man, who is a carpet installer, who had an ad on Craigslist. He does some commercial and some residential work....evidently gets carpet from those sources and sells it via Craigslist. We are calling him after the "move" and trying to meet up to look at what he has. His prices are incredibly low, so we're hoping he has some nice stuff that will work for us.
When we get home, we will probably install all the trim we just cut, sanded, primed and painted today! That is going to look nice once installed.
I'll tell you, the fun just never stops around here!
