First thing this morning as we were getting ready for church I heard church bells.
One of the perks (in my opinion) of living in a smaller, older town - they ring church bells on Sunday morning. I love that sound.
So, we are now winding down, checking emails, Facebook....just a side note: People complain/make fun of FB, but I've got to tell you, it has been amazing to reconnect with people from 20 years ago. I went to a boarding school in Kentucky and there were students from all 50 states and the Virgin Islands. We graduated and went different directions, and it is so cool to "meet up" with them again after all these years!
We took Jazmyn to church with us this morning. Right after service, we drove her to their church in Lake Odessa, ran home and grabbed a bite to eat, then drove back to church for a class, then after the 11:30 service we had an informational meeting on the building program. It was a busy morning but we enjoyed all of it!
Then, when we got home this afternoon from all of that, we got a text from Hank. You remember Hank, right?! Dan's 'right-hand-man' on this renovation project.
He and Pat are joining our Grand Rapids small group. He asked if group was scheduled for tonight. Weeelllll, we had to check the calendar! We had gotten a bit sidetracked and forgotten. Sure enough, it was tonight. I typically email everyone on Thursday reminding them that group is on Sunday. Since I hadn't done that, we called everyone. Group was a little low in attendance, but we had a great time. We are doing a series by Perry Stone on the rapture. Had fun connecting with everyone again and learning from Perry's series.
Tomorrow Dan has a brick repair job for a lady I work with. He is hoping he can get it done in one day. Not much will get done here at the house...I'm also working.
Then tomorrow night I've been asked to babysit for some darling little children named Jazmyn, Nathaniel and Rayna.
They (Jazmyn, Nathaniel and Rayna) along with their two parental units, are moving this coming weekend. They will be going from Lake Odessa to Woodland. We've also been asked to help with that move.
Bedtime for Bonzo.....
