Dan spent the day at a soccer game, looking at a job and making a bid, retrieving stuff from storage, shopping for a few groceries, paying bills, banking, getting a sink from Mindi and Seth and bringing it home. (They contributed a sink and faucet to our cause. It looks quite nice - once installed, I shall post pictures!)
He's quite handy to have around! LOL
He took some pictures of Jazmyn's soccer game, so I'm going to make you look at some of them!
Her team is in green shirts and black pants.
We discussed tonight that we don't like a couple days without doing anything here. Seems like ages since we worked at our own house.
When we got home tonight we felt like we needed to do something work related! So we got the sink out of the van and started to hook it up. We realized by 9:30 it was probably wiser to wait til tomorrow or Monday. It is just too late to tackle a job that big, or any job for that matter. We'll have to put up with the feeling of inactivity.
I'm excited about this week though. I'm not on the schedule until Wednesday, so I'm hoping to accomplish a LOT. I've asked Dan to let me do the wainscoting in the dining room. I can't wait to tackle that and get it done. Then we have to get flooring for that room. That's one of the last big things we still have to purchase (besides carpet for the other rooms). We're debating whether to take Dan's old co-worker up on his offer....free wood for the taking. It is raw wood though. It will be a very intensive process to prep it, put it down, sand it, and finish it. Don't know if we're up to that or not!
Anybody ever done that before? Got any advice?
I'm going to check Craigslist and then head to bed.
I think I'm hooked on Craigslist now. I won't be once this job is done, trust me!
Good-night!
