Ready, Set.....We Can Almost Paint!

Tuesday - Dan started at his men's group. He picked me up at 9:00 a.m. We then went to Lumber Liquidators to see what they have for flooring. We are discussing the pros and cons of wood and tile for the entryway, dining room and kitchen. We have seen some really nice stuff! How to narrow it down?!

At the house...getting ready for work.

Ready and waiting....

We found Brian up to his elbows in drywall dust, mud, and stuff!

When he spreads the mud, Oh, my goodness! It is so smooth, you almost don't have to sand! I took some close-ups....not sure if you can see the detail or not, but here it is.

At a distance

Rooms will be ready to paint tomorrow. Unfortunately, neither Dan nor I will be there tomorrow. I will be working. Dan is taking Daniel and Laina to Chicago to the airport. They are flying to Washington for a week. Her dad and brother live there, plus some of her friends...they'll be visiting all of them. Hmmm, taking the boyfriend to meet the family, what could that possibly imply??!!

We are quite disappointed that the first day we could paint - we CAN'T!

Well, anyway, we had Daniel and Laina show up today.

They helped us put siding back up around windows. We had to remove it in order to change the sizes of the windows.

While Dan and Daniel started the siding, Laina helped me pull weeds, weed-wack the side and front of the house and fill up the dumpster with overgrowth.

That side is done

Next side started

Putting on the finishing touches

Then we attacked the pile of stone and dirt outside the French doors.

Pile reduced, spread out and now ready for new decking!

So, Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off To Work I Go....
Talk to you tomorrow night!
