Ran Out of Gas

This morning I had several errands to run before going over to the house. Dan went ahead of me. When I got done, I called him to see where he was. He said he was at the Ionia exit. I thought he meant he just got off at that exit. He meant he was sitting at the Ionia exit!

In the conversation, I finally realized he wasn't kidding. He was sitting there because he had decided to wait to get gas until too late and had sputtered out. (He had actually coasted from the Lake Odessa exit to the Ionia exit!)

I was not that far behind him so I stopped, picked him up, went and got the gas can, took them both back to the van and watched him empty the gas can into the tank. We then met at the house and finally got to work.

We began by putting up the screm/tape/"stuff-you-put-on-the-wall-before-putting-mud-on! Then he mudded the seams and I did the screw holes. After we did all that, we had lunch (leftovers from last night). We then put up some drywall in the dining room.

About that time we received a call that necessitated my leaving. So Dan finished up that wall and we called it an early day (well, fairly early....he left about 6:00).
