This was an interesting day, with nothing to do with the house. So if you keep reading, you'll just hear my ramblings...

I worked today. I was scheduled to work 8:30 to 4:00p.m. When I got in to work today I asked my manager if I could get out an hour early so I could go to a meeting. In actuality, I had two meetings to go to.

The first one was with my own kids. We planned to meet and make final preparations for our family reunion. We got to Gina's about 3:30 - 4:00. We got into the planning right away. All the kids were there and they had issues here and there, but Dave was really good at keeping them at bay. We discussed the games, food, activities and made some changes and final lists. We all went away with a list of what we had to do. We are all looking forward to that weekend. It will be busy, but we'll be glad to see family once again.

Then, as soon as I left there, (after picking up a sub for Dan and I) I raced back to "the house" and made preparations for the next meeting. It was with Dan's siblings and a spouse or two. We talked about his mom's condition. We've all been noticing changes and are becoming concerned about her. We had fun just being together too. They were here until 10:45....so that's why this is so late in getting posted.

Dan did spend some time at the house today. He had his usual men's breakfast then went into Hastings to set up a small job. He will go lay the block tomorrow. He spent the afternoon at the house. Hank met him there and worked on wiring.

I asked him to please not put any drywall up until I could be there. I really want to see the first sheet go up!

So, tomorrow I work again, then Thursday I get to go to the house and hang drywall! I can't wait!
