Conklin Family Reunion

Wow! What a day! (This is from Sunday.)
We had a day filled with family and fun.
Dan's whole side of the family was present...no one missing from his mom and dad to all his siblings and their children. Quite a group of us actually.

We met around 2p.m. and played a couple games to get to know each other better. Some of the family that lives in Washington hadn't been back to Michigan in at least 10 years, so introductions actually had to be made!

We had a great time. The kids got along great. It was so cute. Levi and Spencer were inseparable. Katie and Jazmyn ran around holding hands like best friends. It was awesome!

I tried to do this blog from Gina's house after everyone left Sunday. By that time, I was so tired I didn't have the patience to deal with computer glitches. So, we packed it in and went home. Well, to the place we are currently staying. I'll be so glad when I can say I'm home...and mean my own home!

As for the house in Ionia....we feel like we've been neglecting it. Saturday was an abbreviated work day, Sunday we always take as a day of rest, and today I had to go back to work. I almost called in. During the night I got sick....you don't want to know the details. But I was throwing up at 2:30 a.m.

Dan went out to the house and did some electrical "stuff" then went and got a load of drywall. He didn't have anyone who could help him carry it in, so he carried 30 sheets of drywall into the house by himself! When I called him after work and complained about feeling icky all day from being sick during the night, he said he wasn't feeling too great either....cos he had carried drywall in by himself!

I have tried three times to upload pictures of both the reunion and the drywall, but this computer won't let me do it. So, again, no pictures for today. When I do have access, I'll have a boat load of them to show you.

Sorry about the "no-picture-blog". I've really tried. You can't imagine the hoops Dan has gone through trying to make it possible to do the blog from where we are!
The computer has actually been moved in hopes of getting a better signal. New devices have been purchased to have internet access. Cords have been strung and re-strung. Hard drives and Sprint cards, SD cards and USB ports, all kinds of things to try to get this to you. So hope you won't mind a couple days without pictures. We'll get it yet!
