Ok, I did it. I left the camera at the house....SORRY!
I'll tell you what we did, then follow up with pictures tomorrow.
Dan and I started the day with a quick trip to Menards. When we got to the house, we tackled the dining room walls. Our goal was to get the plaster completely removed then organize the whole area a little bit. It is getting to look too much like a construction zone!
Then about 11:00 a.m. a friend of our stopped over to help us attack the plaster.
We headed upstairs and tackled the master bathroom first. After lunch we set up the scaffolding on the stairs and started removing the plaster there.
While Sandy and I did some of this, Dan finished the rough in on the electrical in the dining room.
All around, a very plaster filled day! We were gritty from head to toe. And I mean literally....Sandy had chunks of it in her hair, compliments of me. I was higher on the stairs than she was! Sorry Sandy! Then, when we took an afternoon break, she was emptying her shoes of plaster pieces and dust!
Tomorrow our goal is to finish all the plaster so we can put up the plastic for insulation. We also have to put the batting insulation we have in the walls of the kitchen, family and living room.
Til then....I'm off to enjoy what's left of the evening with my date. I was invited out to a movie...by Dan!
