Gathering Eggs

What a wonderful Wednesday we have had.
Dan worked all day at the house, well, after he got there. He started the day at Menards and Lowe's getting last bids on the drywall. Then he went to the house to hook up more can lighting. He cut holes in the kitchen ceiling. I believe a total of 5.

One of them up close

All five of them

You know how hot it was today? Well, we don't have air at the house and it got steamy hot....
While Dan is working in the insulation he has to wear a mask. I had no appreciation for what that was like until about a month ago. It makes it hard to breathe, you wind much quicker, it annoys you, it makes you itch....not to mention the sweating issue!

Speaking of insulation, here is what he looked like after cutting holes in the ceiling (insulation fell out on him).

Hank was there assisting all the way.

After eating dinner we got a call from Dan's sister, Brenda. She and her son Nathan just arrived early this morning from California. They had to run to the airport and retrieve a bag. On their way home they stopped by to visit. We checked the chickens for eggs and toured the Boening compound.

We had a really nice visit...we'll see them again Saturday or for sure Sunday.

Tomorrow I get to go back out to the house - Yeah! The only drawback is that it is predicted to be the hottest day of the summer so far!
