Watching the Little Boys For the Painting to Continue

Kayla got home this evening. When she read the blog, she noticed it didn't have a title...so, here is the title she chose.

Another day is winding down.
Had a great substitute speaker at church today. Pastor Dave Christian (great name for a pastor, huh?!) was at Ionia Res today. He and his wife Geri do a class at big Res on Healing the Brokenhearted. Awesome stuff. Today he spoke on offenses. Very good.

On our way home from church I got a call from a friend, Mara. She and her husband have asked us to house sit for them starting this Saturday for 10 days to 2 weeks. She wanted us to stop over if we could to go over a few details. We spent about 30 - 45 minutes with them.

We had promised Dave and Gina we'd watch the boys for a few hours this afternoon so here's what we did....

To start

Then

And

Here's what they did

They are painting the brick on the front of the house. They put the primer on today. The paint they got looks too dark to them now. So they are debating what to do and using a Sherwin Williams program to change the colors and see what different ones look like.

So, this week I work Monday through Wednesday. Dan has a job that will take up Monday and Tuesday. He's taking the measurements in to Lowe's and Menards to get quotes on the drywall. I'm supposed to take them to Home Depot since I'm working in Grand Rapids and Home Depot is here (we don't have one in Ionia).

Maybe we'll be installing drywall by weeks end!?
