Boening's Bistro

Dave, Gina, the boys and I went out to the house we are renting for our family reunion first thing this morning. We needed to check out a few details. Dan had his monthly men's prayer breakfast, so we didn't meet up until about 10:00 a.m.

When I drove up, there were several cars in the yard. A couple guys from his breakfast had come over to check out the project.

Don and Greg

Then our lawn service showed up and went right to work. I think it took about 10 minutes tops!
(It is Dan)

He's camera shy - hiding behind the bush!
He really was too. I didn't realize it until I snapped the picture and looked up and saw him crouching and laughing!

Then we swept and cleaned up several rooms.

Then it was time to turn our attention to doing some electrical wiring. But we don't know where the actual roll of wire is....

Is it in the stack of tools? NO.
Is it upstairs?
Let's go check....

Is it down the hall?

Maybe in the bathroom?
Yep, there it is!

Not funny!

Then Dan began drilling holes for pulling the wires.

This drill is too small.

There, that's better!

He measured, hung the little blue boxes...

Drilled more holes.

Then, we began to "pull" the wires. When they use the term "pull", they mean pull. The wire is thick and not easily pushed through the holes he drilled.

Wanted to share with you our wonderful running water arrangement.

Gina called about 3:45 and asked how long we'd be working. She also told us that they had things ready to cook and needed to know when to start the grill. Well, that was like a closing bell! We finished up, cleaned ourselves off the best we could with our "running water" situation, and headed to the Boening's Bistro where the most wonderful smells were emanating....grilled chicken, sauted green beans (fresh out the garden no less), fried sweet potato/yellow potato medley...all quite delicious!

We then cleaned up and headed to Lowe's to start pricing paint.

We took a picture of ourselves in the car!

Thanks for reading!
