Today we got all the openings finished that are being changed to accommodate their new window sizes.
But first, we (I saw "we" lightly!) Dan and Dave started out putting more wiring in the guest bedroom. They still have several places that need to have new wiring installed. While they put the wiring in, I knocked plaster out of lathe! You have no idea the fun that exists in removing plaster until you've done it!
We laughed and joked about this drill bit...it is SO long and dangerous. It has a bit that will go through screws! But when it does, it twists. It about broke Dave's wrist today. Here, he had just changed it and is tightening it up. (Really looks like he's hugging it though, doesn't it? He's begging it not to bite him!)
Pulling wire
Using that bad boy!
But, anyway, then we (I helped this time) moved to the dining room and began removing the window. We had to first remove the window, then make the opening larger.
Dan was taking the layers of window out and got stuck with the third one. It broke...
Cleaning up the glass.
Someone snuck the camera again! I'm going to attach it to my wrist if this continues!
Siding comes off
Hank joins the fun
Removal is complete
New size roughed in
Hank cleans up our mess
Dave does.....not sure what he's doing here. Posing for the camera, I'm sure!
I then left somewhat early and stopped by Gina's to clean up then go see Mindi at the hospital. Here she is in all her hospital glory. (she's gonna kill me!)
She sends her greetings!
But, before I left, here is what I got to enjoy at the Boening household!
A new slip and slide
Bubbles!
Kayla blowing bubbles for Levi
And, Kayla with her mom's phone, taking pictures herself....of herself....
So, anxious for tomorrow! Can't wait to see the NEW WINDOWS!
