I ran errands and spent the afternoon with Kayla and Jazmyn...their summer officially started today - we HAD to celebrate that!
Dan, Hank and Dave spent the day at the house working. So, I'm telling you all this second hand.
Let's summarize: doorways were widened, beams were replaced. Let's let the pictures do the talking.
From Dan: Dave before we got him all dirty, and before we widened the doorway between the entry and the dinning area.
The new header beam installed where an undersized beam was sagging, now you can close the door on the master bedroom up stairs and the latch works, it is no longer a self closing door!
Yes we were admiring our work, WE DO GOOD WORK! Thanks Dave and Hank I couldn't have done it without your help.
This is where Dave gets really dirty, opening up the room between the kitchen and dining room.
Hank either cheerleading, or guiding them in for a landing, not sure which!
Yes Hank was guiding us in for a landing, and now we have come to a full stop for the day.
The finished product, no more bulkhead above the opening between kitchen and dining and the door to the entry is 6" taller and 12" wider. Great job guys!!!
