End of Phase One

It's Wednesday, you know what that means...it is downhill from here.

We feel that way anyway. Today was a landmark day for us. We finished tearing out the walls in the kitchen. No more fake tiles!

While we were doing that, our plumber stopped by - THANKS Butch!
He's shy

He and Dan scoped out the plumbing situation. We had sandwiches together, then Butch went to work and took out the copper piping in several rooms. It will all come out eventually, but he got a good start today.

After Butch left, Dan and I tackled the living room ceiling. It was peeling, so we scraped the whole, ginormous thing. Some of it came off really easily, while other parts seemed to be permanently glued down. That whole process took us a couple hours.

See all that white stuff? That's what we scraped off!

There's the empty ceiling

Then the fun part of the day. We made it back to Gina and Dave's in time for dinner.
Here's the first time Gideon has eaten cereal

Grandpa and Levi after dinner

And, bedtime

Tomorrow, first thing, a trip to the lumber yard. Time to get 2x4's, wood, building supplies....yeah, new stuff is going in.

We're entering Phase II....................
