Pine Boughs

Just got home a few minutes ago - about 10:30.
After work, I stopped by Gina and Dave's to cut some pine boughs.
They have a several pine trees in their yard and said I could pick what I wanted. Trust me, they'll never miss a one!

Then I got changed and ready for the Tea at Marie's church.
While there I saw poor Kayla. She was wrapped in a blanket, had a stomach ache and headache. She called Gina during the day and got picked up from school she was feeling so poorly. She only moved from bed to couch while I was there.

Gina had gone to get milk before I got there. She got home with two sleeping little boys. Levi takes awhile to wake up, so he wasn't in much of a playing or talking mood. Gideon, on the other hand, was quite pleasant even to the point of reaching out for me a couple times. Sweet little guy, can't wait to see his personality develop and hear him start talking! Gonna be fun!

So, I went to Ada Bible's Christmas Tea. They have a tour of tables at 6:30. Man, there were some more awesome tables. Then at 7:00 they start serving the meal. By 7:45 or so they start the program with singing Christmas carols. Then they introduce the speaker....
The speaker sat at our table. However, she sat clear across from me, so I didn't have much opportunity to interact with her. She sat next to Marie, so you can fill it in from there ;-)

Dan had an interview today at 11:00 a.m. He worked til then, well, he took time to clean up, went over there, but was texted that the guy who was supposed to do the interview had forgotten and was in a meeting and asked to reschedule.
So, he shopped awhile! Then he came home and worked on the kitchen floor. It needed some leveling before we put the tile down. Guess he "shimmed" quite a bit, got it level, but it wasn't matching the other part of the floor so had to open it up again and improvise!
Now when you walk in the back door you don't feel like you are going to slide into the wall! It's great.

Tomorrow we are going to lay the tile! What a difference that is going to make. Can't wait to show you the pictures!

Here are some pics from tonight.

Mr. Gideon, the sweetheart!

Kayla trying to keep from having her pictures taken - she should know better by now!

That's right, just let her take it and get it over with!
