I sewed almost all day. Got lots of gifts made.
Dan started the day out in the kitchen again. His first words to me this morning were, what do you want for breakfast?
Now, if it were me, I wouldn't eat for awhile after getting up.
For him, I think that's the first thing that enters his mind - what can I/we eat this morning?
He started out sauteeing onions while cutting up potatoes. (We had a bunch of baked potatoes left over from Sundays small group dinner) Then he made fried eggs over easy with toast and orange juice. I wasn't hungry again until early afternoon.
He worked all day, off and on, mudding the walls in the stairway and hallway/landing upstairs.
It wasn't drying very well this afternoon. He put 2-3 coats on it and will have a little more to put on around our bedroom doorway, but will be able to sand first thing in the morning.
Looking straight up the stairway.....
Setting up
All set up and ready to go
Friends from our small group (Ron and Mara Fryling)stopped over to see the progress
Dan also put down the strips that cover the space two floors meet.
See the "BOW" on that strip??!!
He had to cut it to make it fit....then didn't like the way it went down.....so he pried it up!!
Then he put down a different kind between the dining room and office/library.
Then he went back to the landing area upstairs and worked some more.
Got a few more things I want to finish before turning in.
Hoping to paint tomorrow morning, because in the afternoon we plan to go to Grand Rapids and do some shopping. Then in the evening we are going to watch Levi and Gideon for awhile so Gina and Dave can go do some of their shopping without little ones. That will be fun!
Ciao!
