We finished the grout on the kitchen floor this morning.
Here are a few pictures.
It really wasn't bad. Dan spread the grout, pushing it into the 'grooves' and I went behind him wiping off the excess and washing the tiles. It only took us about an hour and 1/2.
After completing that, I cleaned up and headed over to Mindi's to watch the 3 little children. I FORGOT THE CAMERA! I could have kicked myself. Rayna was so funny. She hid in the closet behind the clothes and waited for me to find her and play peek-a-boo. I kept thinking, "Man, that would be a cute picture!" But alas, I had no camera with which to take those cute pictures.
I didn't spend more than 2 hours there. When I left, I took Jazmyn with me into Grand Rapids. She helped me shop for gifts and for the small group dinner tomorrow. Our trip home was in the dark, it was raining too. We thought we would just go back the way we came. When I told her what we were going to do, she recited the streets without mistake. But when it came to seeing the street names in the dark, that was another story. Some were barely visible, others I backed up and shined my headlights on to see! We made it with only going in one big circle. I hate it when I do that! I won't repeat what she told me! She is pretty funny!
When I got home, Dan had put up the trim in the kitchen so we could put furniture back in place....and that is what we did....put furniture back.
What do you think of our island? Doesn't it look like horse shoes or something?!
I'm going to paint that trim black, but I told Dan to go ahead and put it up while we were gone. I can paint it later. Looks comical though, doesn't it?!
We LOVE our kitchen floor!
AND, I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW, SANTA CLAUS ISN'T COMING TO TOWN ------ HE'S ALREADY HERE!
It was a LONG trip, and he is very tired.
He enjoyed trying on Santa hats though.
